A line in a New Scientist article this week on fake drugs that are being pedalled to the unsuspecting sick (oh, the depths to which humanity can sink – will we ever see the bottom of it?) reminded me of a story that made very little impression first time around.

In 2004 [Chinese authorities] arrested 22 manufacturers of grossly substandard infant milk powder and closed three factories after the death of more than 50 infants.”

All of which serves to underline that, if you want to be absolutely sure that you’re feeding your baby good clean stuff: make it yourself, make it natural, make it boobs!
